What is the Medicare coverage if the above qualifying criteria are met?
1-20 day, the resident pays nothing and Medicare pays 100% for a semi-private room. 21-100 days, the resident is responsible for the daily co-insurance rate as determined by Medicare. This rate is currently $124.00 per day. Many supplemental health insurances will cover this co-insurance. 100+ days, Medicare no longer pays. These days are dependent upon continuing significant progress in therapy.
