Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 What this means is for us to see Christ’s sacrifice the way it really is, A selfless act for a world that does not deserve it but is given this gift of grace despite the fact we allowed him to be treated this way. The ending of the passage tells us he is seated at the right hand of god we defiled him and he still sacrificed for us. All I can say is WOW.
