What is the meaning of the song “Sailing Ships” by Whitesnake?
I haven’t listened to this song forever but I always got the meaning that it was about a woman who a man was in love with and she left to go find herself or her destiney/life. But wherever she went she never was quite satisfied and he only wanted her to come home to him. BUT I also always wondered if the song wasn’t about a viking style burial. When someone died the vikings placed the body in a ship and set it out to sea. So I guess the song might also be about someone a man loved died and he puts her body in the ship and sends it off.
