What is the meaning of the circulatory system? 1- The system in the body by which blood and lymph are circulated. 2- It has a role of delivering nutrients and other essential materials to cells, and removing waste products. 3- Also called the cardiovascular system. 4- Includes the heart, arteries, veins, and capillaries. The organs of the lymphatic system are also considered to be part of the circulatory system. 5- Transports blood low in oxygen from the body to the lungs and heart via the veins. Oxygenated blood from the lungs and heart are sent throughout the body via the arteries.
