What Is the Meaning of TCP/IP Communications Protocol?
The Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) communication protocol is a set of rules and regulations defined primarily for transferring data among different nodes and networks in a regularized manner. The phrase “transfer of data” has a broad meaning and encompasses each and every process involved in the transfer of data bits from one computer to another (within and outside a network). For this reason, TCP/IP protocol defines some hierarchical layers that work toward making the process of data communication an organized and a regularized task.
