What is the Meaning of Referendum?
What is more important in the Swiss case is the referendum, not the results. Isn’t it a problematic issue on its own that a referendum was made on a religious issue? When the historical background and abovementioned demographical data are taken into consideration, this referendum is not compatible with the tradition, culture and the sui-generis structure of Switzerland. It seems that the “Swiss Harmony” has started to be distorted.
