What is the meaning of 786 in islam ?
First of all not ALL Muslims are fond of 786, second it has no religious significance just a number. These are found mainly in India/Pakistan region where you find a lot of Emotional followers and according to them every (Arabic/Urdu) alphabet can be represented in form of a digit (e.g. if you look on modern phone 1-800-dial which is 1-800-3425) They believe that instead of writing the whole line of words “in the name of god the most merciful” it is better to just type 786. Scholars of Islam do not recognize that as a valid alternative to the whole verse and deem those as meaningless digits. Hope this helps.
