What is the meaning behind Wizard Of Poetry In Emerald City?
GHOSTFACE KILLAH: I had that when I did The Pretty Toney Album. I just didn’t have anything to compliment it. I just held onto the name. So when I knew I was doing an R&B album, this is all poetry, all nice stories and situations so, you know what, I’m a wizard at poetry and this is called Wizard Of Poetry. SHOCKHOUND: A lot of your songs have energy and confrontation on them. But on your single “Baby,” you’re bigging up the woman and rapping from her perspective. What made you take that route on that song? GHOSTFACE: First of all, it wasn’t even called “Baby.” I laid my lyrics down and we went to get a few people on it. Raheem DeVaughn happened to get a hold of it and I guess he wrote it right there on the spot and fell in love with it. Through his hook, that’s how it became “Baby.” It wasn’t “Baby” before it went out.
