The New Power Clique is a parody of what Prince calls his band and fans…the New Power Generation. Webster’s Dictionary gives two definitions for the word “clique”. The first defines a “clique” as,”a narrow exclusive circle or group of persons.” The Founders however believe that instead the NPC holds true more so to Webster’s second definition of the word, that a “clique is “one held together [group of persons] by common interests, views, or purposes.
