What is the MCR?

0

The Middle Common Room (MCR) is the name given to the postgraduate members of College as a collective body, and (according to Cambridge tradition) to the room set aside for their use. The MCR committee is elected every year by all postgrads, and its job is to represent postgrads in the running of college, run the bar, organise social events for the MCR members and the like. Confusingly in Churchill, The MCR Bar is also sometimes referred to as simply `the MCR’. The JCR is the Junior Combination Room of which all the undergraduates are members, and the SCR (Senior Common Room) is the body of fellows within College.
