PUR – polyurethane for building applications withstands a maximum temperature of +100°C; PIR – polyisocyanurate foam insulation however withstands + 130 to 150 °C. However higher temperatures can be withstood for a brief time when using the foam – for instance the adhesion of roof insulation boards Bi3 with hot bitumen.
