The maximum size for an attachment is 10MB. This might however also be limited by the amount of quota that is currently being used by your email. For example student accounts are given 15MB of total space to use on the server. If the amount of space you are using on the server for email is 11MB- you would not have enough space to send a 10MB attachment as this would cause your account to be over quota.

You are able to receive attachments that are 5 Megabyte in size or smaller. Anything over 5 Megabyte is automatically rejected.
