What is the maximum pantograph operating height?
This is a function of the vehicle mounting height, maximum permitted housed height and the pantograph type employed. Brecknell Willis produce three principle type of max pantograph extension – up to 1.8 m, up to 2.6 m and up to 3.4 m. The greater the extension, the higher the mass, the greater the roof space required, and the lower the predicted dynamic performance without higher cost dynamic isolation for the panhead design.
