Please, there are already too many mixed-breed, mutt horses out there. Even well-bred, well-trained, young, healthy, sound horses are being sold for meat, either for Alpo or French steaks. The world doesn’t need more cross-bred horses. You can save a life, instead of creating one more, by buying or adopting a horse that is already living and breathing. Also, it won’t put your mare’s life at risk. All kinds of health problems can happen during pregnancy and delivery. It’s an unnecessary risk to take. Apparently, you want the foal to grow up larger than its mama, and that carries more risk, from the weight of the larger stallion covering her, to delivery of a larger, heavier foal. Call around to your local horse rescue organizations. I’m sure they can help you find exactly the kind of horse you want to have.
