What is the maximum height allowed?
Although the City allows a 17-foot height in R1-S zones, the ACC guidelines set a 13-foot maximum (from grade). Most of the Eichlers in this tract do not exceed this height. An Eichler style close-to-the ground foundation and a no-attic Eichler style roof 13 feet high make possible a high ceiling where it is desired. The slope of a 1″ rise per horizontal foot of rise also means that much of the house can be quite high.
