What is the maximum enlistment age?
Congress authorized the services to increase the enlistment age to 42. We are not targeting our recruiting efforts on this age category, nor do we expect this change to result in large number of enlistments. This was simply an effort to allow older Americans the opportunity to serve their country. This older age category brings a wealth of life experiences to our force and enhances the Army’s overall effort in the current Global War of Terror.
