What is the maximum distance I can have between two stations?
The maximum distance between two stations are depending on the type of twisted pairs cable used. The critical value is the capacitance which must not exceed 87nF. If you for example use a cable with capacitance of 47nF/Km, you can install the two stations a maximum of 1,8Km apart. If you however install more stations, then this distance will decrease since the cabling to the other stations will add to the value of the total capacitance.
