Standard monitor and keyboard cables lengths are typically 5 and 6 feet, respectively. Extension cables can, however, be purchased to increase this distance. Max USB distance: The USB specification lists a maximum distance of fifteen feet between devices, therefore if your stations need to be further than 15ft from the central computer you will need to use a USB hub or an “active” USB extension cable (a USB cable with an integrated USB hub).
