What is the maximum contribution for a person with no net relevant earnings (NREs)?

0

Regardless of a members level of NREs, a total aggregate payment (i.e. member contributions, any employer contributions and basic rate tax relief) of up to 3,600 pa gross in any tax year can be made to a personal pension/stakeholder plan. This amount is called the earnings threshold, is inclusive of all other contributions to personal pension/stakeholder plans, and is reviewed by the HMRC each year. Contracted out National Insurance rebates can be paid in addition.
