What is the Maxicap Scoring System?
The Maxicap Scoring System is the proprietary handicapping method developed and employed by The Hackers Tour. For teams playing their first three times, the system utilizes an after-the-fact sampling of a team’s round to establish a net score. Beginning with a team’s fourth event, a handicap index will have been calculated for the team. This handicap index will potentially change with each new tournament score. Only tournament scores are used in all calculations. The Maxicap Scoring System has been designed to deter sandbagging and has consistently been described as the fairest method for handicapping golf.
