What is the max number of units I can take?

0

During advanced registration, undergraduate students may only add up to 17 units. When courses start, you may add up to 18 units. If you wish to take more than this amount, you will need to complete a petition for excess units. You can find this “Excess Units Petition” at the Office of the Registrar’s form webpage. Keep in mind that for the most part, you are expected to spend 2 times the number of units for each course, in hours spent working outside class (ie. if you take 18 units, you are expected to work 36 hours outside class on homework, studying, etc.).
