What is the Master International Frequency Register (MIFR)?

0

The Master International Frequency Register (MIFR) contains all frequency usage notified to the ITU. The MIFR normally contains only those frequency assignments that may have international implications. The recording of these frequency assignments in the MIFR and their subsequent publication in the International Frequency List (IFL), is aimed to ensure that all administrations are informed on the use of these assignments and that they are taken into account in any future planning conducted at the national, regional or international level. The MIFR contains frequency assignments as they are notified to the ITU/BR by the national spectrum management authorities (administrations), at their proper discretion.
