What is the Margin of Error? How is it determined?
The Population Finder program locates several possible sets of populations that match your genetic ancestry. The Margin of Error indicates how much the matching percentage from a given region varies among these possible matches. For example, if part of your matching is to Western European French, Orcadian, and Spanish reference populations, the matches respectively might be 90%, 95%, and 85%. The Margin of Error is the measurement of how the three percentages vary.
