For both standards SAP Web AS 6.40 provides the “meet-in-the-middle” mapping principle. The “bottom-up” and “top-down” procedures (generating Java Dictionary tables for persistent objects and, in reverse, generating persistent objects matching Java Dictionary table definitions) has been enlisted in the requirements list for the next SAP Web AS.
