The following table shows the nominal scales for each zoom level. Data from http://labs.metacarta.com/osm/ So, for example the nearest equivalent to an OS Landranger map at 1:50,000 is zoom level 13 (nominally 1:54,000). Note: figures are rounded to millions from levels 8 to 2.
