What is the “Mandatory Advising” hold on my student account?
All new and transfer students have an advising hold on their account until: a) you have completed the basic skills requirements (as outlined in #6 below), b) you have a GPA of 2.0 or better, c) you have officially filed a degree plan (in your major department office), d) and have completed one full semester atTAMU-Commerce and those grades are posted or be considered a sophomore (30 SH completed). Once ALL the above has occurred the hold will be lifted. If you feel this hold is in error, please contact CBT Advising Center via email or 903.468.3197.
