What is the mandate of the Canadian Outcomes Institute?
The mandate of the COI is to develop a knowledge base about effective services and best practices for human service delivery so that it can educate professionals regarding how to best achieve emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and developmental health and wellness for individuals and families. The COI is a not-for-profit agency. It is not a technology business interested in profiting from database sales. Our mandate is to provide database access at the lowest possible to organizations to encourage the use of outcome monitoring techniques. The COI seeks to achieve this mission by establishing local outcome institutes throughout Canada where it would conduct outcome research, offer education regarding services best practices, offer education about outcome technology, and through the advancement of outcome accreditation of human services organizations.
