What is the Malaysian government doing about promoting tourism from Malaysia to India?
There can never be a parity because of the population. But, I personally feel that Indian travel agents and tour operators have to be more active. I am personally encouraging Malaysians to take time off from their work schedules and visit other countries. What are the different aspects of tourism promotion you have used? Besides promoting Malaysia as a shopping destination, we are also promoting the country as an eco-tourist destination. Promoting the country as a heritage and educational tourism destination is also on the agenda. We have a lot of tie-ups with various international universities. We strictly maintain an international standard and offer cheap and affordable education. What have you done to promote eco-tourism? Malaysia, is basically a rain forest which has been developed extensively.
