What is the major disadvantage of suction aeration?
The primary disadvantage of suction aeration is that it can cause bin roofs to collapse on steel bins if roof vents become partially or fully blocked, such as during high humidity conditions of freezing rain or snow conditions during fall and winter storms, or sealing vents by covering with plastic bags for fumigation, and forgetting to uncover the vents before starting fans.
