What is the major difference between the Librarian and Calculator?
The LP Calculator simply calculates land pattern data derived from component data that you enter into the menus. There is no output of any kind. Once you close the program the component data you entered and the calculated land pattern data is lost (irretrievable). The LP Librarian writes and creates library documentation so all component dimensional data and the resulting land pattern data is saved so the LP Librarian and anyone with a free LP Calculator can see all your library documentation. The CAD interface “LP Wizard” consists of the LP Calculator and LP Librarian. Also, since the LP Librarian allows you to “save” all of your component and land pattern dimensional data, so when a CAD LP Wizard becomes available you do not need to re-enter any data, just select the new parts that you added to the Wizard and convert the LP Librarian data directly into your CAD tool to automatically generate a new library part. This is the only CAD library system in the world today that automatically
