What is the maintenance required on ActivLogic?
Basic program maintenance should be performed daily. Maintenance is the daily compacting of the company database and the backing up of the company data file. It is also the periodic compacting of the ActivLogic program on each user machine. From the start menu located on your desktop, locate ActivLogic under the Program menu. As you rest your mouse on ActivLogic, additional menus for compacting will appear. Before compacting the program or the data file, all users must shut down the ActivLogic program. Next, left click on Compact Program or Compact Data and a screen will appear enabling you to do so. Functions for backing up the company data file are not provided by ActivLogic, nor does ActivLogic suggest how this should be done, only that it needs to be done often. Backing up data is totally the users responsibility.
