In an oily gas well, seals will last up to 3000 cycles in a typical 500 ft (150 m) well. At 2 cycles per day, the seals can last up to 50 months. In a dry gas well that produces water and formation grit, seals will wear more rapidly and last up to 1200 cycles in a shallow 2500 ft (800 m) well.
