What is the main difference of return calculation between money market mutual fund and the other mutual fund?

The calculation is basically the same which is NAV x Participation Unit, but the difference is the way the fund acknowledge the return, for other mutual fund aside of money market, the growth is reflected on NAV’s ascension (and the contrary), meanwhile for money market instrument, the NAV is constant (1000) so the investment return attached on Participation Unit Growth (and the contrary).
