WHAT IS THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WALKING TOUR AND SUNSET TOUR?

0

The main difference between the GRAND CANYON WALKING TOUR and the GRAND CANYON SUNSET TOUR is that the sunset tour starts later and gets back later. The sunset tour starts between 7-7:30AM in the winter time and between 9-9:30AM in the summer time. It also follows a different walking route. The GRAND CANYON SUNSET TOUR walking route begins at EL TOVAR hotel and walks EAST to Mather Point. You’ll watch the sunset at YAVAPAI OBSERVATION STATION (Granger Point). The GRAND CAYON WALKING TOUR walks WEST of Grand Canyon Village and goes to HOPI POINT. The reason we do not watch the sunset at HOPI POINT is because the GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK shuttle system is too unreliable after sunset and it takes an hour to get off of the point. HOPI POINT is too far to walk back, especially in the dark!
