What is the main difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the Property Sales and Property Management Awards?

0

A. Under Stage 1 of the Awards, the employee must receive all Award entitlements (e.g. wages, paid leave, public holidays, etc.). In addition to this, they may receive commission. Under Stage 2 of the Award, Stage 1 entitlements may be removed or reduced, in return for which an employee would expect to receive a remuneration package which is, overall, more generous than Stage 1. In other words, under Stage 2 of the Award, the parties can make any agreement they want about matters which come under Stage 1 of the Award. However for the agreement to be enforceable, Stage 2 employment must be approved on a case-by-case basis, as outlined in the Award.
