What is the maid of honors duties?
The bachelorette party is usually the MOH’s responsibility, but it doesn’t have to be the cliche’ drunken bash. It could be a little get-together for the girls at one of their houses for a night of chick-flicks and games, or even a pool party with some virgin daiquiris (a friend of mine did the latter for her bachelorette party because she wasn’t big on drinking or clubs). Anyone who wants to throw the bride a shower can throw her a shower. It’s not necessarily one of the MOH’s duties, but if she wants to, she can. The MOH also makes sure the bride is happy. If the bride happens to be a bridezilla, this could be a big problem. Basically, the MOH makes sure she can help out in any way possible, i.e. helping pick out bridesmaids dresses, going with the bride to pick out her wedding dress, giving the bride opinions and advice when she asks for it… That sort of thing. On the day of the wedding, she’s the main person who makes sure the bride is cool, calm, and collected. Tell your friend
