What is the LSA Instructional Equipment Fund, and what can it be used for?
A. The College provides a limited amount of funding (on the order of $225K per year in FY08 for the entire College) through the Instructional Equipment Fund to support LSA units’ instructional requests. These funds are requested through the budget process. Departments typically use Instructional Equipment Funds to upgrade or replace installed media or instructional technology equipment. In the vast majority of cases, funding for the outfitting or replacement of equipment in departmentally assigned classrooms, outside of the Instructional Equipment Fund request process, is the responsibility of the LSA unit that is assigned the space.
