What is the lowest possible temperature it can be cooked at, and for how long?
The lowest recommended temperature for roasting turkey is 160ºC/325ºF. Cooking at a lower temperature permits the multiplication of bacteria. A 10 kg (20 lb) turkey unstuffed will take approximately 3 ½ to 4 hours, a stuffed turkey 4 to 4 ½ hours. To ensure correct doneness it is important to take an internal cooking temperature. Please refer to my Handy Charts for this and other information. I bought 2 mushroom and ham quiche, but they do not have any cooking instructions. What temperature would you recommend I cook them at? I would recommend baking in a 350ºF (180ºC) oven for approximately 25 minutes. To ensure correct doneness insert a food thermometer in the centre to ensure a temperature of 160ºF (71ºC) is reached. Please refer to my Handy Charts for this and other information. What’s the lowest temperature hot food can be stored at? When storing hot food in a chaffing dish or on a steam table, for example, it is important that the internal temperature remain above 60C (140 F). Fo
