What is the longest word in English dictionary that contains only consonants?
There aren’t any, unless you consider Y to be solely a consonant. But in words like “rhythm,” Y is obviously used as a vowel. Words require vowels in order to be spoken. Vowels open the mouth to release air. A word without vowels can literally not be pronounced. Note that there are some onomatopoeic letter conjunctions like “ssh” and “tsk” that may appear in the dictionary, but these are not words by most definitions.
