What is the Loft installation process?
A. Once the property has been approved for insulation, an approved installer will carry out your loft insulation. The work usually takes up to 2 hours depending on the size of your property and once complete the loft will appear colder than the rest of the property (especially in colder months). It is for this reason that we also insulate the loft hatch and the cold water pipes and tanks to prevent them from freezing. Access to the loft may be difficult, in which case remedial work will be carried out. If this incurs additional costs, these will be quoted at survey stage to ensure no nasty surprises.
