The ‘Locking/Unlocking’ feature enables real-time communication between collaborative users, letting the other know if a file has been reserved for modification. This helps in avoiding mistaken overwriting of a file by the shared users. IBackup’s Web-Manager also provides a ‘soft’ Lock/Unlock option. This implies that an indicator displays the ‘Lock/Unlock’ status only for the purpose of information. It does not stop a user from deleting/modifying a locked file.
