The Egg & I restaurant opened in late October at 1325 Second Ave., and business has been good, its owner said. “Of all of the (franchise) openings, we beat the first month, anywhere,” said Brett Weis, restaurant owner. The Kearney location is Nebraska’s first and the 38th for the chain headquartered in Lone Tree, a suburb of Denver. The franchise has operated for 22 years. Breakfast and eggs are not the only foods offered.
