What is the Local Development Strategy (LDS)?
The LDS is a succinct document written in plain English which draws upon a range of Council’s existing policies, strategies and studies to: • Provide a background as to why a new LEP is being prepared; • Inform the content of the new comprehensive LEP by identifying Council policies and strategies that manage the future natural, cultural, economic and built environment of North Sydney; and • Illustrate consistency between the new comprehensive LEP and State Government’s strategies.
