What is the Listening Format in my preferences?
When you register, you select either Windows Media or Real Media as your Listening Format. When you click the Play button for a song, we attempt to stream the song to you in that format. For example, suppose you chose Windows Media as your Listening Format. When you click Play, we first look to see if the artist uploaded the song in Windows Media format. If so, we stream the Windows Media file to you. If not, we then look to see if the artist uploaded the song in Real Media format. If there is a Real Media version, we stream that. If the artist didn’t upload their song in either of the streaming formats, we offer you the MP3 for download instead.
