What is the “Link volume to noise level” option on my TomTom?

0

Newer TomTom models have the ability to detect ambient noise levels (engine noise, radio noise, etc) and either increase or decrease the volume of your unit to compensate. To enable or disable this feature do the following: 1. From the Main Menu tap on Change preferences. 2. Tap on Volume preferences. 3. If you want to link volume to noise level, check the box next to this option. Tap Done when finished. If you wish volume level to remain static during navigation, simply leave this box unchecked.
