What is the link of the data in the ELCD system and of the guidance handbook to Life Cycle Costing and Life Cycle Working Environment?
Life Cycle Costing (LCC) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) provide monetary information as decision support. The Platform”s present mandate covers environmental implications only; cost data and methodological guidance for linking direct cost aspects with environmental aspects will hence not be provided. The underlying life cycle of products (goods and services) is however identical to the supply chain covered by LCC and TCO. The LCI data and the other deliverables of the Platform project are hence fully consistence for use together with LCC and TCO models for joint decision support. Also the life cycle scope of Life Cycle Working Environment (LCWE) approaches is typically consistent with that of LCI data.
