The Centre of Contemporary Arts is a building which houses the professional arts companies, JUTE Theatre and KickArts. In 2001 JUTE Theatre and KickArts jointly applied to State Government for a capital grant to build a home for JUTE Theatre and KickArts, incorporating a theatre and rehearsal studio for JUTE Theatre and Galleries, artists workshop and a gallery shop for KickArts.The building became known as the Centre of Contemporary Arts – a fitting name as JUTE Theatre and KickArts support a broad range of emerging and professional theatre and visual arts practioners across this and other regions.
