What is the link between AHRC and Health Canadas Inspectorate?
The sections of the AHR Act that give AHRC authority to designate or appoint inspectors have not yet come into effect. As an interim measure, the Agency has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Health Canada’s Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate to perform compliance activities as required. For example, if AHRC receives a complaint about a possible breach of the AHRAct, Health Canada inspectors will assess the complaint and visit the site(s) as necessary.
