What is the line management, or queuing system, and how does it work?
Both DMV locations offer a new line queuing system that offers customers more intuitive options to waiting in line by providing line status updates through cell phone text messages. First, customers will need to go to one of our two locations in Mission or in Olathe. Then, they can use the touch screen kiosks available at the front of each location and follow the steps below. • Choose your language, English or Spanish • Select the service you require; Vehicle Tag Renewal or Titling a Vehicle • If the wait time • If the wait time > 20 minutes, you will receive the option to enter your cell phone number. The last four digits of your phone number will become your ticket number • You can leave the DMV and monitor your cell phone for updates when your turn is approaching • You will receive a text message 15 minutes before you reach the front of the line • Make sure you read your text messages carefully • Reply (S) for Status updates/ (L) to Leave the line/ (H) for Help/ or (M) for More time
