What is the Lignan Content of Natunola Omega-3 Hull?
The lignan content or SDG (secoisolariciresinol diglycoside) analysis is not standardized and there are a few different methods of analysis out there which give different values. Due to this inconsistency, we do not list the lignan or SDG content in our specification sheets. However, a starting whole flaxseed contains approximately 1% SDG content and, without using any solvent extraction, our flax hull and flax fiber are high in flax lignan content, containing 2 – 5 more times SDG as compared to the starting seed.
